A DREAM TO COME TRUE
Making the film is becoming increasingly urgent because contamination of the river now actively threatens these communities’ lives and musical traditions.
We continue to gather funds from different organizations and individuals. This support from friends, family, music and environmental lovers will help to finish filming and editing this project. Musicians who will participate in the documentary will be paid an honorarium, and we will also pay our crew, as well as cover travel and logistical expenses.
With your support, we will make this dream of telling the story of the river and the music it contains finally true. Colombian music is well known around the world, though the roots and land of Cumbia have yet to be discovered in full. Colombia is not Colombia without its music and without the Magdalena River. With this film, we want to pay tribute to both.
